Big brother, Logan just LOVES her to pieces!

Daddy and Logan so glad to be home -- asleep! :)

She was all dressed up ready for her pictures! :) So pretty in pink!

My boys -- so proud!

I was so glad that it was over and it was SO easy compared to Logan's labor! I think I might have had a few too many drugs in this picture! haha!

I just love those chunky cheeks!

4th of July

Happy 4th of July!!! This weekend was a fun weekend! Lester had a 3 day weekend, so we've been taking advantage of him being home! :)

Friday we just kinda' piddled around the house. Lester taught Logan how to shoot his BB gun. He said he was 3 -- he's old enough to shoot it now! (I think Lester had more fun than Logan, but whatever keeps them happy!HA!)

This morning, Saturday, we went to the Greenville parade with the Tillery's. Logan loved it. It's nothing big and spectacular, but it's perfect for the kiddos.

Then, tonight, we went to watch the fireworks that Greenville put on. Logan enjoyed them. They were too loud or too long. It kept his attention span!!
Happy 4th everyone! Let's not forget the privilage we have to celebrate our country's freedom -- God Bless the USA!!!!

Natichoches, LA

Lester and I were invited by our good friends, Katie and Chris Tillery, to go with them on their yearly vacation spot, Natichoches, LA! We stayed in a Bed and Breakfast called the Creole Cottage. It was a newer B&B, but it was SO nice! We had very large rooms, the Southern breakfast was delicious! I ate grits for the first time, and loved them! We also tried Mayhaw jelly for the first time, and all loved it! We went down to the farmer's market and brought us some home!!!! DELICIOUS!

Enjoy the pictures!!

Summer 2009

Here are some signs that I know Summer is here....
1. It's getting HOT outside!

2. My last day of school was May 29 -- :) I am out of school till about 10 weeks after Lydia gets here, I guess.
3. Did I mention that it's hot?

4. Logan and I visited park where his 3rd birthday party is going to be -- he loved it!! They have a sprayground and it's so cool!

5. We are going on Vacation soon!! We are going with our good friend, the Tillery's, to LA. We're super excited.

6. I am working on getting everything ready for Lydia to be here... Alaina is making her bedding -- see the pictures -- isn't it adorable? The lemon fabric is going to be the main fabric (skirt and outside of bumper). Notice the green minky dot fabric in the background? That is the same as Logan's bankie -- I love how that's the same :)

7. The city pool opens this Friday -- Logan and I will be visiting there, soon! :)

8. Lester and Logan have been doing lots of "boy" stuff .... like hunting for frogs and doing fishing -- Logan is holding a baby bull frog here and the other picture shows him and his first fishie to catch by himself! Lester said he did SO good reeling it in!

Growing belly...

Well, Lydia is getting bigger and bigger everyday!! Thus, so am I as you can see in the picture! She is very healthy we are told! We are getting her room ready, slowly but surely. We have her crib, and I am working on ordering her bedding. I was going to be brave and make it, but I think I'm going to let someone else make it. I found some that I REALLY love on Etsy. Her due date is still August 7.

Logan is getting SUPER excited to meet her. Two of our friends just had their babies this week and we have gotten to see the both of them, and Logan just loved holding them. I think he thought it might have been Lydia!

We got Logan a "big boy" haircut -- and he's so cute! He told me about a month ago that he wanted a "choo-choo train" cake for his bithday! So that's what he's going to get -- Momma just has to make it now! haha!

Lydia Pearl Dreher

I had a 4D sonogram on Thursday and we made sure that we had a Lydia! And we do!!!! She was beautiful. We only got a couple of 4D shots, because they weren't very good. The tech said that she was only 15 ounces, so she wasn't fat enough! But we got lots of good other pictures. She had her foot on her head almost the entire time! She was funny. During the sono, she waved at us twice in a row -- it was SO sweet!!!! We got it all on DVD. One thing the tech did say was that she has big feet! haha! GREAT! She will fit right in with all of us big footers!! If I can figure out how to get the pictures off of the cd, I will post some sono pictures ...
On another note, we got her crib in a couple of weeks ago, and Lester and Chris (a good family friend of ours) put it together, and Chris' wife, Katie, cleaned up Lydia's room while I was gone one day -- they were so sweet to do that! It looks so good! The nursery is already painted yellow and the crib is white. I have been thinking of sewing/making her bedding set ... we'll see, though. I was thinking maybe a paisley and the denim .... I don't know if I'm that creative, but we will see as time gets closer -- I need to go fabric shopping.
I think that's all for now -- wish us luck -- I'm already in my 23rd week ... time's flying!

Vacation 2009

We just got back from our first family vacation, and boy, was it eventful!

It all started out with Logan getting sick Monday (while we were still at home) and he is still sick. He had vomiting/diaherrea, and it's still not over with yet! (We go to a new doctor tomorrow!)

Wednesday around 10am, Lester comes home from work with the same thing. Now don't forget, we are supposed to leave the next day with our good friends, the Tillery's, for Wimberly, TX, for vacation. Thursday morning Lester decides he's well enough to go ... let's just say that we made it to Wimberly about 9 hours later (should have been a 5 or 6 hour trip), but with two sick guys, one pregnant lady, and three kiddos (6, 2 1/2, & 2 1/2), that was impossible.

Katie and I got a cabin online ... haha! It was an okay cabin, but just had it's funny things (hot water in the showerfor only 1-2 minutes max, shakes when you walk, etc.).

Friday we go to Sea World ... Lester had to spend about 1 1/2 hours at lunch time in the car cooling off, which I didn't mind, 'cause that meant air conditioner and relaxation! It was super busy being Spring Break week!! After he got to feeling better, we finished the day - Logan LOVED it! He got to see the killer whale show, pet a dolphin, and see cool acrobatic shows! His face was priceless as he watched it all!

Then Saturday we went fishing in the morning, which Logan LOVED! Then that afternoon, we went into San Antonio again to the riverwalk. We rode one of the riverboats, ate at a GREAT Mexican Restaurant, viewed the Alamo, and had a great time!

*Quick side note, while I was writing this, I just felt Lydia move for the 1st time for sure!! -- yea!*

It was an exhausting trip, but worth it 100%.

IT'S A GIRL!!

Well, the sono tech says it's a girl!!!!! That really, really surprised me! I just knew it was a boy -- I need to get Lester to upload the picture of the sonogram ... she's so sweet looking!!! Her name is Lydia Pearl Dreher. We just love the name Lydia (Logan would have been Lydia if he would have been a girl), and Pearl is after my Great-Grandma (Ethel Pearl Snell).
I've already started looking at bedding for her crib that we've already ordered!!!!!! I can hardly wait to start doing her hair and putting her in sweet little dresses! Oh, the fun is about to begin!

The baby is GROWING!

The baby is growing, growing, growing ... as you can tell from my picture! I have LOST 15 pounds, but the the baby is getting nutrients from somewhere evidently! haha!
I go to the doctor on March 13, and they will set up an appointment then for the sonogram to tell the sex ... here's my guess ... boy! I have had multiple dreams that it's a boy and Lester has had one, also! I'm still hoping for a girl, but I will gladly welcome a little guy! :) They are so sweet to their mommas! :)
Logan is over his virus -- gosh, that was some bad stuff.
I will update when I have something to say .... like what the sex of the baby is!

Sick toddler!

Two days ago, Logan started running a fever of around 102.5. That night, he ran up to 104.3 ... I took him to the doctor the next day and basically there's nothing she can do. He does NOT have the flu (thank God), no ear infections, no throat infection. He has a horrible snotty nose, coughing, sneezing, NOT sleeping, and still a fever of 102+.
It's horrible when your baby is sick and you just can't do anything about it!!!!

Our life, thus far!

I thought this might be a good way of everyone following along to this crazy life of ours. I will do my best to keep this up.
I'll give you a little updating about everyone.
Lester is still loving his job at L-3 Communications as a Mechanical Engineer.
I am still teaching Pre-K 3 days a week -- it's the perfect job!!
Logan is already 2 1/2 years old!! My, how time flies!!!
Baby #2 is 15 weeks along in my belly -- hopefully we'll find out soon what we're having!!!
